Allegedly, the Volkswagen company is working on the new medium-weight SUV model with 3 rows, also called 2019 Volkswagen Atlas. The attractive off-road vehicle of the German manufacturer offers a luxury cabin with user-friendly, spacious and easily accessible third-row technology. This model is also the only SUV way that offers a Euro-inspired seven-comfort driving experience.
As a reminder, we hope that 2019 Volkswagen Atlas will not change visually either inside or outside. The new booster body gives Volkswagen a ruggedness that has been lost in the SUV market for years. The interior continues with a refreshingly simple appearance and feels like being outdoors. Still, it offers some premium features that Volkswagen buyers expect, including the available digital cabin, sturdy leather upholstery and much more.
For all else, we expect that standard functions will be transmitted as well. If so, opt for the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas, which features cloth seats, LED headlights, dual-zone air conditioning, cruise control, 6.5-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2019 Volkswagen Atlas offers two engine variants with four Eco, Normal and Sport modes. The base engine delivers 276 hp and has a 3.6-liter V6 engine. In addition, it is connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is standard equipped with front-wheel drive or optional four-wheel drive. Fuel economy is reduced to 18/25 mpg (FWD) and 17/23 mpg (AWD) in the city/highway. The other engine has a turbo, which makes about 235 hp. It has a 2.0-liter engine and a torque of 258 lb-ft at 1600 rpm. In addition, it is also combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This engine ensures a decent city/highway fuel economy of 22/26 mpg.
Although there is no official release date, we expect 2017 Volkswagen Atlas showrooms in spring 2018. No change in the business, we expect prices to remain roughly the same in the new year. This would bring the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas to $31,425 to $49,415 (including target fee), depending on equipment.
