The 2019 Jeep Compass with compact crossover mid-range, offers a medium range that promises easy driving and space for the family at an affordable price. Adventurous buyers also have an off-road opportunity that is rare in this class.
The Base 2019 Jeep Compass gets 16-inch wheels that we did not test, but the ride is not disturbed by 17-inch wheels, which are standard on Latitude and Trailhawk trimmers. Take advantage of the Limited’s 18-inch or optional 19-inch models and the ride starts to get jittery. For an off-road customer, Jeep offers a Compass Trailhawk crossover SUV. It contains a number of add-ons that are ready for trail use. Jeep raises the suspension of the Trailhawk by about 2.5 cm for a clearance of 8.4 inches, and the first gear of the 9-speed gearbox simulates a low range for a crawl ratio of 20: 1. Jeep adds a “rock “add mode” to the traction control system, which reduces the control over a hill and helps the jeep in difficult falls.
Each 2019 Jeep Compass is equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android auto compatibility, Bluetooth connectivity, two USB ports, fabric pads and at least 16-inch wheels. Popular upgrades include heated seats and steering wheel, leather upholstery, an 8.4-inch touchscreen with navigation and appearance packages such as this year’s High Altitude and Upland editions.
Each 2019 Jeep Compass is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 180 horsepower and 175 pounds of torque. Off-road four-wheel drive is an option of $ 1,500 on all versions except Trailhawk. Depending on the configuration, the 2019 Jeep Compass can be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, a six-speed automatic transmission or an automatic nine-speed transmission. EPA savings in fuel economy are 23 miles per gallon in the city, 32 mpg on the highway and 26 mpg combined with a front-wheel-drive Compass and six-speed manual transmission.
The 2019 Jeep Compass Limited starts at over $ 30,000.
