Jaguar was recently introduced with some models introduced in recent years. One of them is the XE, the compact sedan that has surprised the market. The car has been very successful so far, but has lost the aggression of some rivals. To change that, Jaguar has introduced a special edition template with XE SV Project 8. This is a limited series, but it seems that it will not be the only XE special. Not so long ago, the 2019 Jaguar XE was spied on and the car looks impressive. So far this is just a rumor. However, it seems that Jaguar will bring it to market to compete better with its rivals.
Project 8 looks good, but it does not look like a car driven every day. The next 2019 Jaguar XE has to do just that, so it does not seem so aggressive. The camouflaged prototype revealed many interesting features of the car. It appears the limited-edition car’s bulkhead kit and solid wing are not used on the 2019 Jaguar XE. Instead, the car will be based mainly on the XE S, so it has wings, similar wheels and bumpers. However, it comes with a four-way exhaust system, slightly larger air intakes on the front and possible heat dissipation in the hood to keep the engine cool.
Like the S, the 2019 Jaguar XE in the cabin will be very special. The interior is dominated by the large center console, where most of the buttons are installed. The car comes standard with Jaguar’s new widescreen in-car entertainment system and also has contrast stitching. It also seems that the seats are not the same as the S’s. Instead, the 2019 Jaguar XE front seats with individual rear seats could be obtained to make the car more interesting than usual.
The 2019 Jaguar XE will finally be available with the same 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine found in most high-end Jaguar applications. The details are still unknown, but we all know it’s a very powerful engine. The first reports show that the car will provide about 510 hp and more than 500 lb-ft of torque. While this is nothing compared to the 592 horses Project 8 offers, it is more than one of its direct competitors. To use all this power, the car is equipped with a revised eight-speed automatic transmission that only shakes the rear wheels. Although we do not expect 592 hp, about 510 hp of the ubiquitous 5.0-liter V-8 Jaguar Land Rover are a great option. This is higher than what potential competitors offer. So comes the BMW M3 with 425 hp, the Cadillac ATS-V with 464 hp and the Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 with 503 hp.
The 2019 Jaguar XE will be the mass version of Project 8. This will go along with many features of the Special Edition model, but will certainly be a little more at home. The car stays on the same aluminum structure as the regular model, so there is no change. However, the 2019 Jaguar XE is ready to get a more efficient suspension system, which probably includes adaptive dampers to make the vehicle more comfortable and better. Ceramic carbon brakes are also widely used, but so far nothing has happened. The release date has not yet been announced. Given the state of development of the prototype, however, it can be assumed that the car is still months away from the start. It is likely that the price will match that of its rivals. This means that you can expect a base price of around 65,000 US dollars.
