Maybe you did not think that the Hyundai Elantra needed an update. The completely revised model was just introduced for the 2017 model year. Elantra has now reached a high level of reliability and the IIHS award Top Safety Pick + for 2018. Even so, Hyundai decided it was time for some upgrades two years later. The new model was released on August 22nd with a completely different look and various changes in the security and tech suite. Here you will find everything you need to know about the 2019 Hyundai Elantra.
The 2019 Hyundai Elantra base is still relatively empty, but the second lowest SEL trim offers a range of standard safety features, including automatic emergency braking, collision warning, lane departure warning and driver monitoring. The Safe Exit Assist, which notifies you when you open your door for a cyclist or other car, is offered with the optional Ultimate package on the higher Limited fairing.
The 2019 Hyundai Elantra also does it with a 5-inch color infotainment system, but a higher finish gets the latest Hyundai system. AVN 5.0 has been updated with a faster processor. The 8-inch screen is one inch larger than previous versions and includes both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Embedded navigation, traffic information and event data are also available.
The 2019 Hyundai Elantra retains its 2.0-liter (147 hp) and 1.4-liter engines (128 hp) as well as the choice between manual and automatic transmissions. Six times cut will be available again. In terms of fuel consumption, the base model (SE) with automatic transmission is a striking combination of 33 mpg. With manual models, up to 29 mpg may coincide with a low urban rating (26 mpg). Eco models remain the most economical together with 35 mpg.
The 2019 Hyundai Elantra will be available for sale during the year and prices will be announced shortly before the release date.
