The new 2019 Bentley Continental GT was unveiled and is a wonder. It shows a healthy impact from the brand’s latest models, especially the EXP 10 Speed 6. That is something very positive. While the exterior of the second-generation car looked exactly like the first, the new car has a cooler surface that is both sleeker and more athletic, while the technical details of the second and third photos are considered.
The new look is largely the result of the beautiful EXP 10 Speed 6 concept. The taillights are round and thin, and the grille looks flatter and more prominent at the front. The round headlights of the 2019 Bentley Continental GT are still available, but have been adapted to the new shape of the vehicle. If you push the front wheels 5.5 centimeters forward, a longer, shorter nose is possible. Buyers can choose from 17 basic colors, but it is still possible to add a custom tone to a price.
The interior is beautiful. The dashboard adapts seamlessly to the door panels and a high center console with a physical switch provides the driver and front passenger individual spaces. The front occupants have 20-way adjustable electric seats with heating, cooling and massage functions. Padded leather never looked so good. There is a new design of the “diamond in diamond” quilt in which each diamond shape has 712 stitches. The most intriguing part of the 2019 Bentley Continental GT is the new revolving display. The board has a panel that can be rotated to display one of three things: a platform that extends the edge of the board, the same platform but with three analog disks, and the infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touch screen from Conti GT. It’s impressive on photos, so I cannot imagine what it looks like in person. Technically, the 2019 Bentley Continental GT is equipped with a 10-speaker sound system, but there are also 16 speakers and 18 speaker systems available. Like many other Volkswagen Group vehicles, the dashboard is a huge screen. Apple CarPlay is available on this ridiculously rotating touchscreen, but Android Auto does not seem to be there.
We believe that this error will be corrected as soon as the new 2019 Bentley Continental GT is available. Much of the design’s success is due to the transfer to a platform shared with the new Porsche Panamera. The Continentals of the previous generation were built on foundations, which were originally produced for the VW Phaeton. This configuration was in the background with front-wheel drive and all drive options in the wheels. The packaging for which the engine had to be placed in front of the front axle. This new companion has a traction bias in the rear wheel, allowing larger and more traditional proportions on the surface. It reflects the movement of the engine further into the chassis, with a longer, stubbier bonnet attached at the rear. We’ve discovered some wonderful nuances of the Ferrari Superfast signals of the 1960s on this front, narrowing backwards, from left to right, and at the flanks.
The 2019 Bentley Continental GT will be on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Prices and specific information on the release date still need to be determined.
